We are approaching the first anniversary of Saint Tryphon Farm & Vineyards on February 1st. It has been a truly exciting year here at the Farm. We’ve received a number of accolades from the media in addition to such great support of our loyal fans: we were voted Top Three Texas Winery by San Antonio Reader’s Choice and Top 5 Texas Wineries You Need to Know by Texas Wine & Trail. Additionally, we were interviewed by MYSA.com, San Antonio Woman’s Magazine and Boerne EXPLORE. Our wines are now available at some fine dining establishments such as SIGNATURE, Inspired by Andrew Weissman, Peggy’s on the Green and Valeria Ristorante Italiano, as well as some great casual places like Whiskey Cake in Dallas and Cibolo Creek Brewing here in Boerne and many more. We have plans to increase distribution in Austin and Houston in 2019.
We said goodbye to many great wines this year: 2016 Blanc du Bois “Flower & Bee” 2016 Tempranillo “Rustico V.1”, 2016 Mourvedre “Far Afield”, 2017 Rose “Bird in Hand” and our IMPETUOUS Syrah. And we will soon say hello to many new wines in 2019. The much-anticipated 2017 Mourvedre “Far Afield” will be bottled in February. I know we promised many people we were going to bottle in December, but alas, we felt it needed a couple more months in barrel. The 2018 IMPETUOUS Pet-Nat will be released in March and she is delicious, made with 100% Orange Muscat, this bottle-fermented Muscat Pet-Nat is spectacular. Look for two new Roses as well as a barrel-fermented Albarino in the coming months as well.
